The night before Christmas, Vivi told us to write in the letter to Santa that all she wanted for Christmas was a Nutcracker. Santa had a hard time trying to fill that last minute order, but he came through! The kids were so, so excited and could barely fall asleep- plus they were having a huge sleepover with Tia Mimi and Tia Didi. Tonio and I were so excited that we actually woke up before the kids at 6:30am! When they finally woke up, around 7am, we came down together with the kids jumping up and down, telling stories of how they heard Santa and his reindeer last night on the roof. Ricky didn't know what to think, and learned extremely fast how to rip open presents that people handed to him:). It was really fun- I love giving presents to people. My favorite this year was the huge family tree my brother and I put together for my parents- I did the research and gave Tim the information (this is from years ago), and he meticulously calligraphied the perfect script onto an outstanding fan graph that he measured and designed. It is a beautiful, priceless treasure and I love it! We also gave copies to the aunts/uncles and cousins. The rest of the day we played with toys, ate, drank, and watched Christmas movies. Life is good.
