Mardi Gras parade!

No, we didn't drive over to New Orleans- Mardi Gras came here! The kids' preschool had a parade of mom-powered wagons decorated as floats, lots of beads, and King's cake:

Some of the families were a bit more creative on their floats than we were:)-

The kids got to choose if they would ride in the wagon and throw beads, or sit with their classes and watch the parade. Vivi sat with her friends, but Tonito and Maya came along for the ride.

The parade was really long winding around the parking lot! Here are some of the babies being showered with beads:

My friend Ashlea had just been to a Mardi Gras parade in Galveston and donated thousands of necklaces to us! Tonito was throwing handfuls at the parents and kids, it was hilarious. So much fun- we definitely didn't do this in Chicago:).
